A man and two women have been arrested for importing cocaine, marijuana and cannabis worth 250kg in Indonesia, police said on Friday.
The men were detained after authorities in Sulawesi, Indonesia, said they were operating a drug importation network that supplied the illegal drugs, which were later sold in Jakarta.
“The two suspects were arrested and detained after police found a quantity of cocaine and cannabis in their vehicles,” Jakarta police said in a statement.
Police said the drugs were found in the cargo compartment of a vehicle belonging to the two men and their accomplice, who is believed to be a senior member of the gang.
“Police found approximately 250 kilos (500 pounds) of cocaine in the trunk of the vehicle,” the statement said.
“Cannabis was also seized.”
Police did not say how much of the drugs was exported to Indonesia, nor how much was imported.
